Senior Biochemist/Material Scientist (ETH, University)

Your tasks
- Shape the evolution of our technology-from laboratory invention to clinical application
- Design and develop novel polymer / hybrid materials for the usage in orthopedic surgery
- Bridge your thorough expertise as material scientist / biochemist with engineers
- Contribute to our IP portfolio with expertise, creativity and foresight
- Deep dive into clinical and regulatory pathways with precision and purpose
- Serve with hands-on laboratory work as well as research projects for the Head of Research
Your profile
- PhD or master in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, or closely related field
- With experience in hydrogels and nanoparticles and a deep understanding of material characterization (e.g. rheology, compressive testing, swelling/degradation studies etc.)
- Passion for functional biomaterials or medical polymers, delivering patient value
- Strong track record of creative innovation and tangible outcomes
- Motivated hands-on lab scientist with independent working style, and a sense of adventure
- Excellent interdisciplinary skills to team up with engineering
- High creativity, multi disciplinarity and track record in generating intellectual property.
- Ideally with experience of in-vitro and in-vivo testing
